Owner of a Lonely Heart

Another quick "while the song's playing" sketch:
Owner of a Lonely Heart, by Yes.
I liked the song when it was popular, but now it bums me out.

Your drawings are lovely. I like how loose they are.

Thanks, stray g.
Funny how people's quick, loose pictures often have more personality than refined ones. I wonder why that is?

I think when you go back to more finalized drawings, you'll find that these loose drawings have been immensely helpful.

I actually hear the song, "What Becomes of the Broken Hearted?" each time I look at this picture. I think the rhythm matches the pose, can just see the poor bird tromping to that rhythm.

The gestural drawings capture the energy of movement and life. Sometimes tight drawings are trying too hard.

Sally,
I can see the pic matching "What Becomes of the Broken Hearted" too. Possibly a better match. Maybe I should have gone the Jesse/Strayg route and asked people to guess (or assign) a match.

I think you're right. Tighter drawings tend to flatten the energy.
