The Gandy Dancer's Ball

Here's a long forgotten number I found on You-Tube.
It's delightful (the song, not my quicky sketch.) So upbeat and catchy.
You almost want to meet Mackinac Mack and Toledo Jack and...
"Gandy Dancers" was slang for "Guys who maintained railroad tracks." How'd they afford "The biggest band/in all the land" for their hoedown?
Here's the You-Tube clip that inspired my fast sketch:

You say "long-forgotten"-- where did you ever see this before? I like the guy in the black shirt-- his angular style dancing is much better than the guys in the front line.

Hi Sally,
Sally,
I noticed the guy in the black shirt too! Too bad the clip isn't better quality- the poor guy looked like dancing venetian blinds.

This song was on a kiddie lp I had when I was kindergarten aged. As an adult I only remembered a fraction of the lyrics and was curious. I googled what I could remember and found it, then checked on You-Tube for a video version.

I think Linda's right: you/we should do music videos.

I second (or third) the idea, sg!
