Gumballs Gone Wild

This is based on a flash Action Script tutorial from Flash Mx Studio.
It took me fifteen minutes to type the code, but much longer to get it to work.
My clerical skills are atrocious. My perception doesn't match what's on the page.
It took me the longest time to catch the two typos:
"=+" instead of "+="
and
"_" instead of "._"
(This is why I'm not an air traffic controller.)
Any time I catch myself thinking This is hard! I can't do this. I tell myself to stop whining and keep at it.

Thanks, stray g.
I came close to posting the "broken" version of this (where they floated to the upper left corner and stayed there!) but I finally caught my code typos and got them to cooperate. :)

amazing- the gradients make it totally magical.

Yay! :D

I think the small, fadey-into-the-background effect helps make it magical.
And they overcorrect around the mouse which gives a bouncey quality.

*win*! :D

Thanks, Jesse.
Actually we should thank Sally, as she loaned me the book which had the tutorial that this is based on. I'm not ready to whip stuff up from scratch just yet. :)

Thank you, Linda, Sally,
The tutorial wanted me to apply the effect to a plain black dot, so I had to get silly with it.

Really Great! It's so fun and cute- I love the tri-smileys and the bounce - the colors reminded me of the sixties... wait, i wasn't born yet. :) (yours are much better than this emoticon!_

Thanks for visiting, Billsey.
I was going for a sixties color scheme there.
BTW, I was around in the 1960s (at least the tail end,) kiddo! ;)
