"I'm on a Ride and I Want to Get Off"

"I'm on a ride and I want to get off" is a my favorite line from the 1980s nonsense song, "The Reflex" by Duran Duran. I picture something like this when I hear it.

Thanks Linda.
I was actually working on a more complicated illo when that song came on the radio and suddenly I had to doodle the "ride" and then I had to spiff it up.
Sometimes procrastination is a good thing.

I always get work done when I'm supposed to be doing other work.

I wonder why that is- how we're working on X and suddenly we're inspired to create Y, which often turns out better than X?
Is it because the "you're doing it wrong!" part of our brains are occupied with X, freeing us up to sneak Y in?

I'll keep the roll rolling.

I want to do the work that seems less onerous....there is usually something even worse that comes along, and then what seemed unpleasant before is "fun."
