Color Schemes
I found a new toy called Color Wheel Pro. The full lets you try out various color schemes (variations of monocromatic, complimentary, split-complementary, triadic, tetradic and freeform). You can even import your own images (in the form of special .swf files, which takes a little work but is worth the trouble.)
Here's some variations I did with my stars image. Interesting how changing the color schemes changes the mood of the picture.
p.s. Yes, I know there's no green or purple stars in real life. Too bad about that.

Yes, they exist, RHSteeleOH, but we can't see the greenness or the purpleness.

Oh, the bottom was is wonderful. I've got me no issues at all with changing up any old colors, but I WOULD like them to sort of achieve ... something. If I can manage that, it's usually by accident, so THIS little tool looks mighty sweet.

ReplyDeleteIf you stick to their sample pictures and logos, it's pretty easy.
Making your own stuff and assigning colors is more of a hassle- not something I'd want to do with every picture I drew. That being said, it's fun to see a picture take on a new "mood" with the different colors.
