Silverfish are creepy. They make slugs look cuddly. Who hasn't opened an old book or magazine and had a mummified one drop in their lap? Their silvery sheen and Art Nouveau curves can't override their powers to freak people out.
Thanks, Linda. My goal was to see if I could make a silverfish cute. Interesting note- I've seen plush spiders, insects, centipedes, slugs and even horseshoe crabs(!) but I've never seen a plush silverfish- or even a plastic one. That tells you something.
yeah, I don't know what it is about silverfish, but the are in the top tier of creepie grossness. potato bugs and flying termites gross me out as well.

One more thing-
Silverfish- or at least the thought of seeing an army of them- have been one of the reasons I've never wanted to try hallucinogens.
