Wow!

I didn't win an Oscar, but I worked on a project that did! Whoo Hoo!
In the same sense that one might boast they "worked on the Great Wall of China" when in fact they put down a few bricks (my case, at least).
Still, the mastermind behind the project was kind enough to let some of us mug for the camera with his prize.

That's very cool! Something to take pleasure from.

  2. I missed the Oscars so I don't know what it was for. A hint maybe?

  3. If all you did was open a letter, I think that counts. But that's because I believe in sharing. :)

  4. Thanks Anon!

    Sally,
I missed the Oscars too, so this caught me completely off guard. A hint? Hmmm....

    Booda,
I did some rotoscoping and rig removals for the show. Not the most glamorous work (some look down their noses at it) but I find it quite fun.

Damn, it was fun holding that Oscar. Now I have to figure out how I can earn one of my own! :)

Wow, this is fabulous news! Congratulations! That movie is on our netflix queue: can't wait! We had to tape the Oscars and watch it over three nights because we get very sleepy....

  7. Dr. Mac showed me the preview of that movie on my 24-in iMac when I was trying to decide on the size screen to buy. When I saw that, I bought the largest screen. The movie (the preview) looked too real, very sharp. That's because you removed all the rigs, I suppose.

  8. Thanks Sally G.
I hope you like the movie (which I've yet to see in its entirety)

    oNay oblemoPlay, allySay,

    Thanks, Linda,
Ironically, with rig removal (getting rid of props that don't belong in the final film), you've done a good job if one can't see there were props (wires, stand-in shapes, cables, tracking marks etx..) :)

I can't wait to tell Pat what you do for a living. He loves to watch movies over and over so he can catch editing mistakes!

I dislike typing the quasi-legible words too, but without them it's Spam City, Sorry!
