"I'm a Hammah"
Just a crude sketch I put together during my lunch break.
I envisioned a anthropomorphic claw hammer. Friendly and well-meaning, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. He misidentifies anyone (and anything) he encounters as "NAIL!!" and tries to pound it.
When a real nail crosses his path, he trips over it.

No More Flash Cartoons?
The upcoming Flash cartoon I've been working on since last summer is in suspended animation. back on schedule.
Last night Flash CS3 started crashing upon loading, andnothing I've done has fixed it. it took a fight to fix it.
The Adobe support page was no help. I tried calling and was on hold for about an hour then gave up because my cell phone was cutting out. I spent hours on the internet searching for suggestions, which either didn't work or weren't doable: (for example, a few sources said the Franklin Gothic Font often went corrupt and to remove from my computer. I deleted it, but seconds later the font reappeared in the font directory.)
Then I tried reinstalling. . After about 40 minutes the popup notice said it was done, and, by the way, AdobeCS3 couldn't be installed.
What finally did the trick was carpetbombing (okay, completely uninstalling) the original and restoring it from scratch.
Arrg! My favorite toy is broken and there's no way to fix it.. Yay! My toy is fixed.
Added- a picture of my niece throwing at fit.I'd like I was ready to throw one too.

More Butterflies
This is isn't as "animated" as my other set of butterflies, but I had fun making it.
Biggest goof: I spent a lot of designing his face and animating it (including antennae that move in sync with the wing beats)...
...but you can barely notice it in the final result.

Butterflies
I need butterflies (or fireflies) for part of my new flash cartoon. Here's some practice ones I made.
Animating them was easy. Getting them uploaded somewhere where I could "point" them to blogger was a nightmare (my old way isn't working).

Cheshire Cats
Is it just me, or does every interpretation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass turn into a "Look how mad/wacky/crazy my version is!" project?
Do an image search for "Cheshire Cat." or (any other Alice character) to see what I mean. He's usually a garish color (purple seems popular), with nutso hair and a psychotic grin.
Does this distract from the original "weirdness" of the character- the fact that it's a cat who can smile and disappear?
