I'm ...Namowal, I admire your drawings so much!
I'm really bad at perspective. I had to look at the Photoshop link Linda provided. But I have Photoshop 7. It does not have a Create Plane or Edit Plane tool. This is the first time I've ever heard of these tools.
Photoshop 7 has always done everything I needed. Now I want something that I'd never heard of ten minutes ago!Pile Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10604450255039913380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36618421.post-89340267775796492192010-06-17T19:53:30.657-07:002010-06-17T19:53:30.657-07:00Hi sal,

I find it useful to copy a photo with a similar angle and note where the vanishing points are...
...or I use my preferred method- no perspective. :)Namowal (Jennifer Bourne)https://www.blogger.com/profile/00384500508934864421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36618421.post-65908425139672973232010-06-17T04:47:18.936-07:002010-06-17T04:47:18.936-07:00Perspective wears me out.Perspective wears me out.salnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36618421.post-17265475623773375482010-06-16T20:12:48.598-07:002010-06-16T20:12:48.598-07:00Thanks, Stray.
And thanks to boodababy and Linda ...Thanks, Stray.

And thanks to boodababy and Linda for the software tips.

Normally I don't use much perspective- a lot of illustrations don't need it. On the other hand, I could use the practice and I like how it can make imaginary places look somewhat "real." Maybe I've been looking at too many Winsor McCay illos (damn, he was great).
The drawings are a mini comic I've been kicking around in my head. You'll see more of it soon.Namowal (Jennifer Bourne)https://www.blogger.com/profile/00384500508934864421noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36618421.post-28496850044049554492010-06-16T12:41:32.440-07:002010-06-16T12:41:32.440-07:00Namo, what are these great drawings for?

My favorite work around, though, is to absolutely ignore 'proper' perspective. So far, it's never been easy for me to do and even when I've done it, it all ends up looking so ... starched.

That said, this looks really cool.booda babyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09424036488795599663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36618421.post-49436728163858971392010-06-16T04:47:15.195-07:002010-06-16T04:47:15.195-07:00Your drawings look great!Your drawings look great!straynoreply@blogger.com
